Sandeep Upadhyay PhD

Sandeep received his B.Sc in Biochemistry from the University of Allahabad and his M.Sc in Biotechnology from the University of Indore (DAVV), India. Following that, he joined Dr. Vinay Nandicoori’s laboratory at the National Institute of Immunology in July 2008 for his doctoral research, receiving his Ph.D from Jawaharlal University, New Delhi, India in November 2014. His graduate research involved studying the role of eukaryotic-like Serine/Threonine protein kinase G in growth and survival of M. tuberculosis inside the host. He joined the Philips laboratory in June 2015, as a postdoctoral research associate to investigate dynamic cellular events associated with the subversion of host innate immune response by M.tb virulence determinants.
